The Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, is one of the peaks of the outdoor music festival season. One of music’s most awaited and prestigious live performance platforms, the multi-performance event draws more than 200,000 people over two consecutive weekends.
This year, the festival celebrates its 25th edition, with an impressive lineup of top global acts, including headliners Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, Karol G and Anyma. The momentous occasion is set to deliver memorable, history-making sets across the musical spectrum on the weekends of April 10-12 and April 17-19.
With more than 100 acts performing at eight different outdoor stages, fans can look forward to a slew of exciting moments onstage, from first-time performers asserting their place in the music scene to cultural icons making highly anticipated returns.

BINI Introduces P-pop to Coachella
BINI, the Philippines’ pioneering girl group formed by Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena, made history on the first day of the Coachella Music Festival 2026, becoming the first homegrown Filipino group to perform at the event.
Armed with a 10-song repertoire, fierce stage presence and the sort of vocal prowess people can only expect from Filipino talent, BINI set the Mojave stage on fire. The 8-piece act introduced Pinoy pop (P-pop) to Coachella with some of the most recognizable hits in their discography, from the Afrobeats and Latin-pop-infused “Pantropiko” to the funky “Salamin, Salamin.” The girl group also treated the audience to the first live performance of their newly debuted single, “Blush.”
Honoring their roots, the octet repped the Philippines from head to toe, with costumes designed in collaboration with Filipino stylist Ica Villanueva and designers Marian Zara and Job Daco. After their opening number, performing “Shagidi” clad in mythology-infused looks, BINI starred in an iconic outfit reveal. The group confidently ripped off their gilded gold ensembles, displaying tropical-leaning sets made of woven teal material. Channeling the “water siren” concept, their stage outfits featured various ornate elements, including fringed skirts, beading work and gold sea-themed appliqués, suitable for a group of women representing the very essence of the Philippines.
Over the weekend, the group also joined British singer lowerovlove on stage as she performed her 2024 track “breaking news.”
Taemin Delivers Legendary K-pop Performance
Taemin Lee, one of K-pop’s best-known stars, added a major milestone to his 18-year career at Coachella 2026. The singer, a soloist and member of pioneering K-pop band SHINee, became the first Korean male solo artist to perform on a solo stage at the festival.
The South Korean singer brought his hit-packed discography to the Mojave Stage on April 11, balancing fan favorites like “Move” and “Guilty” with unreleased English tracks that, presumably, belong to his upcoming musical project. Owing to his status as one of K-pop’s most prolific performers and dancers, Taemin paired each song with polished choreography, impeccable vocals and a live band.
On the fashion front, Taemin opted for an imposing all-white fit for most of the show. Towards the end of the set, the singer went for a quick change-up that matched the shifting musical vibe. Following a musical interlude that showed off his live band, the singer reappeared on stage to complete his 10-track set dressed in a modern Saint Laurent suit that you might recognize from the Spring 2026 collection—if you’re a pop culture buff, you probably also recognize it as the look Heated Rivalry’s Connor Storrie sported on the front row of Saint Laurent’s Fall/Winter 2026 menswear show too.
Justin Bieber Makes a YouTube-Filled Coachella Return
What’s more iconic than headlining Coachella? Probably headlining Coachella while simultaneously honoring your origin story as a singer. That’s exactly what Canadian crooner and Millennial music icon Justin Bieber did on Saturday, 11, when he took over Coachella’s main stage to delight a motley crowd of attendants.
Bieber kicked off his set with tracks off his 2025 releases, Swag and Swag II. In a pared-down and minimalist set that echoed his most recent live performances, the singer briefly catered to new fans with singles such as “Speed Demon” and “Everything Hallelujah.” He then took the audience on a trip down memory lane with the help of YouTube, nonetheless.
The singer, who first rose to fame through music covers on the video-sharing platform, revisited his old hits, interacted with online comments and even looked back on one of his most viral moments, a video where he confronts paparazzi with the now iconic “It’s not clocking to you that I’m standing on business, is it?”
The highlight , however, came when Bieber, in a full-circle moment, performed his 2010 megahit “Baby” with the music video playing in the background. Oh, the old times…
Karol G Becomes the First Latina to Headline Coachella
Colombian singer Carolina Giraldo, universally known as Karol G, became the first woman of Latin American origin to headline Coachella when she shut down the festival’s first weekend on Sunday, 12. “La Bichota” brought the very best of Colombia’s music class with a mix of old and new tracks that merged reggaeton, merengue, cumbia and other Latin-infused genres.
Arguably at the peak of her career and only a year after the release of her fifth studio album, Tropicoqueta, the Grammy-award-winning singer returned to Coachella—she first hit the stage in 2023—but this time to grace the stage reserved for the festival’s biggest acts.
In a show teeming with theatericals, showmanship and Latin American pride, Karol G reprised some of her biggest hits, including “Provenza,” “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” and “Amargura.” As it has become a signature of her shows, the Colombian singer took the chance to highlight collaborators and pay homage to her favorite artists on stage. Among the guest stars were Mariah Angeliq and Becky G, with whom she performed “El Makinon” and “MAMII.”
Karol G also invited reggaeton icon Wisin, who delivered a medley of hits, and Greg Gonzalez, guitarist of Cigarettes After Sex, who accompanied her in a new track titled “Después de Ti.” Further celebrating the Latino community, Karol G’s show featured Latin musicians, dancers and even the all-female mariachi ensemble Mariachi Reyna de Los Ángeles.
BIGBANG Makes a Long-Awaited Debut
BIGBANG kicked off the group’s 20th anniversary celebrations with a bang—pun intended. The trailblazing South Korean act made a long-overdue Coachella debut on Sunday, 12, achieving a milestone they were meant to fulfill back in 2020, when the festival was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Featuring legendary singer-songwriters, performers and fashion icons G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung, the K-pop group brought the heat to the Outdoor Theatre stage on the last time slot of weekend one. The performance, highly anticipated by music enthusiasts and fans of Asian entertainment, marked the group’s first major international performance in years—though BIGBANG had a brief reunion at the MAMA Awards in 2024.
For an hour, fans attending and tuning in for their show watched BIGBANG revisiting career-defining hits such as “Lies,” “Fantastic Baby” and “BANG BANG BANG,” with the dexterity and maturity proper of a 20-year-old band. Throughout the set, the group displayed the high energy and attention to craft that have set them apart since their debut in 2006, prompting elated reactions from the crowd at Indo. The set wrapped up with an emotional performance of “Still Life,” where the group kept the voice of former bandmate T.O.P., a suitable homage to BIGBANG’s history and legacy as one of global music’s most influential acts.
