Jennie’s custom stage outfit belongs in fashion history—literally
South Korean singer Jennie took over ZOZO Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe as a headliner of Japan’s prestigious music festival Summer Sonic 2026. For the occasion, which rounded out her seventh music festival performance of the year, the star crafted a hit-packed set.
But Jennie not only delivered a memorable performance with some of her biggest hits, including “like JENNIE” and “Mantra.” Proving her status as an adroit fashionista, the star also delivered a throwback to the 1990s fashion scene, dressed in an archival Calvin Klein look.
The ensemble, exclusively recreated for Jennie, was originally worn by Kate Moss on the Calvin Klein Spring/Summer 1993 runway and tapped into brand classics: denim and undergarments. The outfit consisted of a pair of oversized denim pants—the kind that populated the hip-hop scene in the ‘90s—playfully styled backwards and worn alongside a matching boxy vest.
The style-savvy take on the Canadian tuxedo was complete with a pair of black boxers and a sports bralette from the Calvin Klein Collection underwear. As for accessories, Jennie recreated the runway look, wearing a black beret with the CK logo, a leather belt featuring an archive buckle from Calvin Klein Jeans and a layered necklace from the brand’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection.
Jennie’s stage outfit repertoire included another custom-made look: a strapless denim dress crafted from upcycled Calvin Klein denim waistbands. Jennie styled the piece with a pair of high-knee boots, an archival leather belt and a pair of wraparound glasses—one of this summer’s trendiest items.
