Tokischa Welcomes New Career Chapter with “Piscis”

Fresh off her Paris Fashion Week appearance, Dominican multihyphenate Tokischa explores Brazilian funk with a new single.

Following a successful run at Paris Fashion Week, Dominican rapper Tokischa returns to the music scene. The star showcases her ability to push music boundaries with her first-ever funk-infused single, “PISCIS.”

Fueled by her desire to connect with her Brazilian fan base, Tokischa tapped into one of Brazil’s most popular music genres. Exploring funk for the first time, the singer delivers a novel fusion of rhythms and languages in a track created in collaboration with Papatinho.  The Brazilian DJ and producer, who has previously worked with Shakira, Anitta and Snoop Dog, is also listed in the production credits.

Pisces Celebration

As the title suggests, “Piscis” celebrates the end of Pisces season — Tokischa’s zodiac sign —  with catchy beats and provocative lyrics. The track both sensual and upbeat, merges Tokischa’s signature style with vibrant production, expanding her musical repertoire and showcasing her versatility as an artist.

In the music video, Tokischa rids off inhibitions, boldly embracing her sensuality and channeling her confidence. The single’s cover is equally provocative, featuring Tokischa in a Brazilian flag bikini.

Stepping into a new era

In a press statement, Tokischa anticipated a new career chapter with the unveiling of “Piscis.”  “Just as the new single was released on the last day of the zodiacal season, [the song] marks the closing of a stage and makes room for a new and promising artistic era,” read the statement.

Over the last couple of months, the Dominican star has emerged as a global force across fields. Surpassing music confines and expanding her portfolio, the singer has stepped into the fashion and entertainment scene. Last January, Tokischa took over the Parisian runways with Chicano designer Willy Chavarria and attended the private release of Mickey 17 in Paris. Most recently, she left a mark in the VIP section of Coperni’s Fall-Winter 2025 show.

But Tokischa is no newcomer in the fashion industry. She has previously starred in the Jean Paul Gaultier TRÈS GAULTIER campaign, sharing the screen with it girl Amelia Gray.

Now, the Dominican multihyphenate hints at a new career stage, venturing into new genres and expanding her visual and sonic universe.
