The Snow Man Members Are all About Pared Back Style this Fashion Month

Ren Meguro, Shota Watanabe, Koji Mukai and Hikaru Iwamoto members of Japanese group Snow Man, master the art of monochrome and pared-back dressing at London and Milan Fashion Week.

Every Fashion Month, a new crop of stars makes headway on the front rows of major fashion capitals. Maybe it’s the cast of the TV series du jour (during the Men’s Spring/Summer 2027 season, we saw stars from Prime Video’s Off Campus sitting front row at Dior and Louis Vuitton), perhaps it’s the latest sports darling (like Alex Eala taking over New York Fashion Week last week), or an international star whose name you have probably never heard of, but whose presence draws the largest crowds outside show venues.

This season, the members of Japanese pop group Snow Man are part of this buzz-worthy front row extravaganza. And don’t get us wrong. They have been fashion darlings for a while. (Ren Meguro is one of Fendi’s most prominent brand ambassadors. Koji Mukai has nurtured a relationship with Burberry that culminated in his appointment as ambassador earlier this month. Shota Watanabe has secured an ambassadorship for Tod’s. Leader Hikaru Iwamoto was appointed Dolce & Gabbana’s Japan’s ambassador last year and Raul is a consummate fashion darling, whose appearances aren’t limited to the front row.) However, this time, the Snow Man members are making their presence felt beyond their front-row appearances.

And what’s their preferred style formula as they navigate their Fashion Week commitments? Monochrome fashion and pared back looks.

On September 21, Kōji Mukai took a front-row seat at the brand’s Spring/Summer 2027 show. He dressed in a monotone gorpcore ensemble that combined Burberry’s legacy with its more outdoorsy sensibilities. The navy look featured corduroy pants and a technical jacket with a fur accent on the sleeve.

The previous day, the singer and actor (ICYMI, Mukai has participated in various productions including the Boys Love dramas Love Song and Dating Game) made a stop by “The Burberry Trench: Crafting an Icon” exhibition at the V&A Museum in South Kensington. Of course, honoring the exhibit’s theme, the star opted for a classic black trench and matching trousers. Straying subtly from the predominant monochrome style that most guests sported at the event, Mukai added a subtle pop of color with a powder blue knit top.

A couple of days later, in Milan, Ren Meguro reprised one-color dressing at the Fendi front row.

For the occasion, the Fendi ambassador and campaign star (he recently starred in the Baguette®️26424 ad push) suited up. Meguro’s fit included a black tailored jacket with coordinated trousers and a V-neckline top of the same color. The highlight, however, was a studded Baguette bag and Meguro’s chic man bun.

While Meguro sparked a frenzy on social media with his show attire, this wasn’t the only time the star rocked monochrome looks in Milan. The Snow Man singer previously stepped out in the Doumo city dressed in black denim pants and a simple T-shirt. Then, he anticipated the Fendi show in a video teaser, dressed in an off-white pants-and-shirt set.

While Shota Watanabe didn’t opt for a total look for his attendance at the Tod’s SS27 show, the singer remained committed to the same clean silhouettes and demure style Meguro and Mukai flaunted in their respective appearances.

The singer, appointed a Tod’s ambassador at the beginning of the year, arrived at the show venue in Via Palestro, donning a fall-ready ensemble. Watanabe opted for wardrobe basics in a neutral color palette of grey, ivory and beige. Straight-fit trousers, a white shirt worn under an ivory sweater and layered with a tan suede jacket made for a polished approach to Fashion Week dressing. The Aoshima-kun is a Bully! star (yes, the Snow Man members are all-rounders who juggle music, television and fashion) accessorized with white-soled navy sneakers and a taupe handbag.

Previously, Watanabe teased his appearance at Milan Fashion Week, sharing behind-the-scenes images from a recent magazine pictorial. Dressed in head-to-toe Tod’s, of course, the multihyphenate embodied pared-back sophistication that mixed knitwear, leather goods and casual tailoring.

But the défilé of well-dressed Snow Man members on the front row didn’t stop there

On September 26, Snow Man’s leader Hikaru Iwamoto also stepped into the spotlight, attending the Dolce & Gabbana SS27 unveiling. Similar to his bandmates, Iwamoto opted for muted colors, albeit with a dose of Italian flamboyance that perfectly matches the singer, dancer and actor’s dapper showman aesthetic. His front row fit’ consisted of flowy wide-leg pleated trousers with a coordinated dagger collar shirt. The Snow Man member topped things off with a white dinner jacket with statement lapels and a glitzy set of jewellery.

Ahead of the show, Iwamoto was spotted sightseeing in the city. Making a case for everyday monochrome fashion, the singer wore a total look comprising casual pants, a fitted tee and a cap
—all in black.

Needless to say, the Snow Man members proved they know exactly how to embrace monochrome style and demure elegance during Fashion Week, without straying far from their personal mark or the brands they represent. And that’s so cool!
