Loewe enters a new chapter with bold color blocking, streamlined silhouettes and edgy minimalism.
Loewe, the LVMH-owned Spanish brand recognized for leather craftsmanship and modernist aesthetics, debuted its first collection since the departure of creative director Jonathan Anderson. Now helmed by Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez (founders of Proenza Schouler), the brand stepped into a new era of vibrant minimalism and subtle sensuality.
Chromatic intensity defined Loewe’s SS26 collection
Presented on the fifth day of Paris Fashion Week at Cité internationale universitaire de Paris, Loewe’s Spring-Summer 2026 collection served as a reset for the brand. After rising to mainstream acclaim during the tenure of British designer Jonathan Anderson, the brand departed from the avant-garde forms and cheeky playfulness that distinguished it for more than a decade. McCollough and Hernandez revamped Loewe with sleek but wearable looks that still spoke of the brand’s leather tradition and signature craftsmanship.
Abstract painter Ellsworth Kelly’s oeuvre, “Yellow Panel with Red Curve,” served as the backdrop for the runway. Lines were clean and structured, with traces of fluid forms, courtesy of handkerchief dresses and asymmetrical pieces. Mini dresses and oversized coats found inspiration in architectural forms and bright colors bestowed the runway with energy. Playing with chromatic intensity and color blocking, the palette spanned bright red, electric blue, yellow, orange, green and earthy neutrals. The texture diversity didn’t go overlooked either. Silk, denim, heavy-weight wool, net and sequined fringes coexisted smartly, showcasing the Loewe ateliers’ savoir faire.
“To enter Loewe is to take on codes shaped over 180 years of history, defined above all by an enduring commitment to craft and its Spanish identity,” the creative directors wrote in the show notes. “Our task is to carry this spirit forward, interpreting it through our own distinct lens.”

Reinventing the Loewe signatures
As for the accessories, McCollough and Hernandez opted for sustaining Anderson’s legacy of novelty and out-of-the-box designs. Eclectic and non-conventional pieces accessorized the runway. Transparent heeled shoes featuring origami-esque folds, clutches made of hand-blown glass and an overall reinvention of brand classics reflected the designers’ commitment to updating Loewe’s codes—subtly, but effectively.
Shield glasses and statement headwear further fed this narrative of reinvention. The Loewe woman presented herself as evolved and refreshed, sleek, empowered and unafraid to embrace a new wardrobe.

The front row channeled Loewe’s chromatic revolution
Reflecting the shift on the runway, the front row took on minimalism and color blocking. Guests from across the cultural spectrum walked into Cité universitaire clad in brightly-colored items such as textured jackets and bold knitwear.
Brand ambassador Wang Yibo brought an eclectic ensemble consisting of leather cargo pants and a sea green shirt. The star nailed the sweater-over-shoulder look, draping a yellow sweater around his shoulders, for a clever take on modernist preppy. Meanwhile, Thai actress Milk Pansa, who attended a Loewe show for the first time in her career, put a twist on office chic, dressed in an ivory shirt and military green skirt combination. Her look, however, departed from regular office aesthetics with a folding detail at the front and a yellow jacket layered on top.

Brand ambassador Chen Duling, on the other hand, made a case for barrel jeans, pairing them with a minimalist red top and black leather goods.
Other ultra-stylish celebrities sitting in the VIP section at the Loewe SS26 show included South Korean actress Youjung Kim, Egyptian actress Salma Abu-Deif, The White Lotus star Parker Posey, Italian singer Levante and Emmy-winning actress Sarah Paulson.
