Beyond the cinema frenzy it ignites, the Cannes Film Festival is an elite destination for high jewelry promotion. With jewelry presentations, exclusive unveilings on the red carpets and glitzy parties unfolding everywhere, Cannes is a strategic space for high-jewelry marketing. 

Thanks to the formal dress code and the reputation that early-edition Cannes attendees and golden cinema icons gave the event, the red carpets at La Croisette are packed with opulent style displays. Voluminous gowns, embellishments aplenty and the world’s finest jewelry are, of course, an essential part of the Cannes playbook. 

Along with the festival’s international reach, the involvement of fashion and jewelry maisons has, over time, helped to cement Cannes’ status as a backdrop for grand statements. 

Today, the two-week calendar unfolding in the French Riviera is a global platform to showcase fashion and one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces. Notably, the Swiss jeweler Chopard, an official partner of the festival since 1998, provides jewelry for VIPs, showcases exclusive collections and crafts the festival’s trophies, including the coveted Palme d’Or. 

The 79th Cannes Film Festival has stayed true to tradition this year, once again bringing haute joaillerie to the global spotlight. Below, find a list of stunning jewelry on the Cannes red carpets, as worn by festival-goers across fields, from industry professionals and film ensembles to celebrities and VIP guests.

Alia Bhatt in Sunita Shekhawat

Indian actor Alia Bhatt showcased her impeccable style with plenty of showstopping jewelry numbers.  One of the standouts was the  Art Deco-inspired choker by Jaipur-based Sunita Shekhawat that she wore to the L’Oréal dinner. The necklace featured 26.43 carats of radiant diamonds, recreating a bow motif and paired with matching earrings and a diamond ring.

Barbara Palvin in Hassanzadeh

After revealing her pregnancy on the Parallel Tales red carpet, Hungarian model Barbara Palvin returned to La Croisette to attend the Paper Tiger screening. Palvin opted for a medieval-influenced dress topped with jewelry by the London-based Persian brand Hassanzadeh Jewellery. The jewelry repertoire included a layered necklace with a statement pendant and crimson gemstones, paired with a large ruby ring nestled in a diamond frame.

Hande Erçel in Pomellato

Turkish actor, model, producer and style icon Hande Erçel championed one of the year’s biggest trends (rainbow jewelry) at the screening of La Vie D’Une Femme. Erçel, who serves as an ambassador for the Italian jeweler Pomellato, commanded attention with a necklace crafted in 18-carat rose gold. Aptly titled “Gemme Superlative,” the piece carried more than a dozen colored gemstones, including brown diamonds, yellow tourmalines, and pink spinels, each of them encased in a frame and surrounded by matching pavé.

Bella Hadid in Dima Jewellery.

As a Chopard ambassador and Cannes referent, supermodel Bella Hadid delivered plenty of showstopping jewelry moments at Cannes. It was her homage to Palestine, however, that stole the spotlight. Hadid stepped out in La Croisette, wearing a key pendant by Dima Jewellery. The piece represented the Palestinian Key, a powerful identity statement that symbolizes Palestinians’ right to return to the homes they lost in the 1948 Nakba. According to Dima Jewellery, the piece was originally created for Mohamed Hadid (Bella’s father) as a “symbol of his home in Nazareth and the map of Palestine.”

Hirokazu Kore-eda in Chaumet

World-renowned film director Hirokazu Kore-eda, whose film Sheep in the Box competed in the Cannes official selection, arrived at the festival’s opening ceremony, decked out in a classic tuxedo and lavish Chaumet brooch from the Envol capsule collection. The brooch recreated the platinum wings piece created in 1910 for Gertrude Payne Whitney. It represents creative freedom and self-liberation and features the maison’s signature blue and grand feu enamel.

Gemini in Chanel

Thai actor Gemini flaunted his portfolio of brand partnerships on his Cannes debut at the Karma screening. The upcoming Ticket to Heaven star walked the red carpet as a L’Oréal VIP, but nodded to his association with French fashion giant Chanel by wearing a statement brooch, inspired by Coco Chanel’s 1932 feather brooch for the Bijoux de Diamants high jewellery collection. Gemini delivered a dazzling jewelry moment, pinning the Plume brooch—which features at least 180 brilliant-cut diamonds—to his lapel and coordinating it with a slew of Coco Crush rings.

Keng Harit in Chopard 

As one of Cannes’ most notable first-timers, Keng Harit left a strong impression on the El Ser Querido red carpet. The Khemjira The Series leading man fused modern-day tailoring with whimsical jewelry pulled from the festival’s official partner, Chopard. The piece was a vintage design, “Spilla Brucco,” first introduced in the Animal World high jewelry collection in the 2010s. Keng reintroduced the item with a youthful spin and accompanied by an Ice Cube bangle. 

Natasha Poly in Chaumet

Friend of Chaumet Natasha Polly went vintage for the El Ser Querido red carpet on May 16. The Russian model elevated her sheer black gown with two rare pieces from the Chaumet archive, including a chunky gold and bronze necklace created in 1977 and a gold and diamond bracelet from the early ‘90s.

Nychaa in Cartier 

L’Oréal ambassador Nychaa made her montée des marches at the Karma screening, draped in an Art Deco emerald set. The necklace and earrings ensemble belonged to the Cartier Sixième Sens collection’s Percussion line and played with the juxtaposition of white diamonds, black onyx and green emeralds. Nychaa further elevated the styling, wearing the necklace backwards so the piece would hang on her back, emphasizing the backless design of her dress.

Pio Marmaï in Chaumet

French actor Pio Marmaï, star of Pierre Salvadori’s La Vénus Électrique, took the dapper route for the film’s screening on Day 1 of the festival. Adding a subtle pop of color to his white tuxedo jacket, Marmaï wore the “Mint Leaf” brooch by Chaumet. The piece was recently introduced to the public at the brand’s 2026 High Jewellery collection presentation in Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay. It features a 12.36-carat emerald-cut aquamarine and has been previously spotted on Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick.

Rebecca Patricia Armstrong in Sirivannavari

Actor, singer and L’Oréal Paris ambassador Rebecca Patricia Armstrong (Becky) touched down in Cannes to attend the premiere of Karma, directed by Guillaume Canet. For the occasion, the star honored her heritage, sporting a jewelry set from Thai Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya’s brand, Sirivannavari. The lavish ensemble (teardrop earrings, bracelet, necklace and ring) was created in collaboration with Beauty Gems and crafted by Thai artisans with hundreds of diamonds in various sizes and cuts and featured the brand’s iconic horsebit motif.

Sanam Saeed in Hanif Jewellers

Pakistani actor Sanam Saeed made history at Cannes as the first honoree of the “South Asian Women Excellence in Cinema & Arts” initiative by US Studios. Fittingly, Saeed celebrated her home country’s craftsmanship for her red carpet debut at the Sheep In The Box screening. The screen darling turned heads with ornate ear cuffs, a statement ring and a maang tikka—a South Asian head jewel ornament—crafted by Hanif Jewellers with white gold and diamonds.

Simone Ashley in Chaumet

Fresh from her press run for The Devil Wears Prada 2, British actress Simone Ashley arrived in Cannes to attend the premiere of Guillaume Canet’s Karma. Ashley complemented her strapless dress with a necklace and earrings set from the Josephine Collection’s high jewelry line, “Soir de Fête.” Both pieces featured white gold and more than 30 pear-shaped diamonds. 

Shizuka Ishibashi in Cartier

Nagi Notes’ actor Shizuka Ishibashi went for a head-to-toe silver ensemble to walk the red carpet at La Croisette. The only element where she allowed an almost imperceptible hint of color was the jewelry: a pair of Cartier earrings from the Sixième Sens high jewelry collection. The geometric pattern jewelry incorporated deep emeralds, onyx, and rock crystals, and matched perfectly with the white gold ring that Ishibashi wore on her right hand.

Yoona Lim in Qeelin

South Korean singer and actor Yoona Lim epitomized classic elegance at the Garance red carpet. As an ambassador for the Chinese jewelry brand Qeelin, Lim flaunted colored gemstones from the Wulu collection. The three-piece set comprised a cascading necklace and matching earrings, as well as a statement ring—all of them featuring pale green tourmalines, diamonds and Akoya pearls. 

Taylor Russell in Chaumet

Taylor Russell delivered a minimalist, but detail-oriented look on the red carpet of Na Hong-jin’s Hope, which she stars in alongside Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung, Jung Ho-yeon and Alicia Vikander. The piece, “Amour d’Aigrette,” belongs to the Chaumet signature Josephine collection and features white-gold and more than one hundred brilliant-cut diamonds.

Will Sharpe in Sauvereign

British actor and filmmaker Will Sharpe added a touch of gold to his head-to-toe ensemble with a brooch by the Hong Kong-based brand Sauvereign. Titled “Untitled 23 Brooch,” the 18k gold item was entirely handcrafted and featured a sculptural design.

Win Metawin in Tiffany & Co. 

Win Metawin, Thai multihyphenate artist and global ambassador for the US jeweler Tiffany & Co, doubled down on a house signature (and one of his wardrobe staples) for his Cannes debut. The “Yours” singer, who has championed the brooch trend even before the “bro brooch” craze exploded in Hollywood, adorned his velvet-laden tuxedo with not one but two Bird on a Rock brooches. The first one featured a cushion-cut aquamarine of over 15 carats, while the other carried an emerald-cut aquamarine, amplifying the iconic piece’s allure.
