Paris Hilton who?
Bedazzling, the kitschy Y2K-inspired movement adding sparkle to fashion, beauty and everyday objects, has been one of 2026’s biggest obsessions. The latest star to embrace the all-rhinestone trend is no other than PP Krit, Thai actor recently announced as Gucci’s brand ambassador.
Not one to shy away from Y2K and experimental style statements, the star went all out with an entirely bedazzled set that threw it back to the early aughts. The rhinestone-packed ensemble was rather straightforward: straight-leg pants and a round-neck crop top. Where things got interesting was in the addition of countless crystals across both pieces and a Gucci elastic band at the waist that nodded to the visible underwear trend.

The outfit looked taken straight off the wardrobe of 2000s icons like Paris Hilton. However (and fittingly), PP Krit took it to the next level with pointed-toe heels, wraparound sunglasses and a large fur coat with floral fabric lining. Fun fact: Paris Hilton herself sported the coat when she walked down the “Guccicore” Cruise 2026 runway back in May. Coincidence? We think not.

This isn’t the first time PP Krit offers a throwback to the early aughts or brings a major style statement to a Demna front row. In 2024, the star made headlines attending the Balenciaga Fall/Winter 2024 show in Paris, dressed in a red velour tracksuit. The look was nothing short of iconic: velour pants paired with an exposed thong (the whale-tail trend was all the rage back then) and a rhinestone-adorned hoodie—exactly the kind of look every teenager in the 2000s couldn’t get enough of.

Bedazzling is More Than a Nostalgic Trend
Beyond Y2K-inspired looks, the newly minted Gucci ambassador has carved a reputation for his gender-bending and unapologetic style. The star also boasts a longtime creative association with Demna Gvasalia. ICYMI, the actor was originally a Balenciaga ambassador, appointed under the Georgian designer’s tenure. During his run as ambassador, PP Krit actively participated in runways and collaborations, including a T-shirt drop featuring his image.
Now Demna and the star reunite at Gucci. And if PP Krit’s first front-row appearance with the Italian brand is already this cool, then there’s plenty to look forward to in the future.
