Namtan Brings Dopamine Dressing to the Prada Front Row

The Thai actress mastered color-blocking and dopamine dressing on her first public appearance as a Prada ambassador.

It’s officially autumn, but dopamine dressing and color blocking are still strong styling options for the new season. Need some inspiration? Look at no other than Thai actor  Namtan Tipnaree. Debuting in the role of Prada ambassador, the Thai actor made a solid case for mood-boosting colors and blocked outfits at the brand’s Spring/Summer 2027 show.

Now, if you’re a stranger to the concept of dopamine dressing and color blocking, here’s a quick 101.

More than a trend, dopamine dressing refers to a state of mind where people dress to make themselves happy and boost their mood rather than to conform to trends. The movement generally embraces the use of bright colors and elements such as prints and patterns that will naturally help the brain release dopamine (there is a science-backed relationship between color and happiness). Hence the name.

Meanwhile, color blocking is a styling technique where people wear contrasting colors that, instead of blending together in the same look, make a statement by remaining separate in clearly defined sections. (Think of green pants, worn with a vivid pink top or a fuchsia skirt paired with an orange sweater.)

Namtan applied both principles for her front row look.

The actor brought a dash of color to the front row, dressed in a bright yellow and nude pink combination. The star’s ensemble leaned into chromatic contrast, pairing a fun and dopamine-inducing yellow turtleneck top with a rosy silky pencil skirt. The actor continued to build her outfit on color contrast, sporting a pair of burgundy socks worn along with black slingback shoes. For a final touch of color contrast, the Pluto star clutched a white Prada Cleo bag that tied it all together.

On the beauty front, Namtan adhered to her outfit’s color palette, opting for a nude lip, subtle rosy blush and one of summer’s favorite beauty statements: coconut milk nails. (If this is your first time hearing that name, consider yourself lucky, but in a nutshell, the coconut milk manicure features a subtle but opaque milky-white lacquer color.) Namtan accompanied the look with a layered pin-straight hairstyle that framed her face gracefully and contrasted with the ultra-textured and slightly retro hairstyles dominating the front rows and runways. In fact, if you missed the Prada show, Namtan’s hair stood in stark contrast with the runway model’s purposely disheveled and lived-in messy manes.

Namtan: a fashion icon in the making

Namtan, who is Prada’s latest addition to its ambassador roster, sat front row at Fondazione Prada, sharing the spotlight with stars such as fellow Thai actor Win Metawin, South Korean star Jaehyun and Japanese singer Sana. Sadie Sink, Alexa Chung and Camila Mendes were other notable names in the VIP section.

While the actress is new to the “Prada ambassador” title, she is no way a newbie at Fashion Week. In addition to her budding association with the Italian powerhouse and her consecutive attendances at Milan Fashion Week, the actor has also made waves in New York, where last year, she emerged as the top celebrity voice, according to Launchmetrics’ Media Impact Value tallies. The actor accrued $2.1 million in MIV during the Spring/Summer 2026 season, with a sole show appearance at the COS SS26 show.

She repeated the feat at Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2026, emerging as the second most valuable celebrity voice, driving $16.7 million in MIV with her appearance at the Prada FW26 show.
