Keng Harit Refreshed the Classic Tux for his Cannes Debut

Now, this is how you make a memorable Cannes debut.

Keng Harit, star of the 2025 breakout show Khemjira the series, has a knack for updating menswear classics. For his first Milan Fashion Week attendance, he revamped monochrome style with an all-leather look. At the 2026 Nineentertain Awards, the actor reimagined pinstripes with a boxy suit—worn, of course, sans shirt. For his latest public appearance, which happened to be his red carpet debut at the Cannes Film Festival, Keng reimagined the double-breasted tux with a custom look by Ami Paris.

One of Thailand’s fast-rising stars, Keng Harit, joined the stacked lineup of Thai stars walking the 79th Cannes Film Festival on May 16. The actor arrived at La Croisette to attend the screening of Rodrigo Sorogoyen’s El Ser Querido, decked out in a black tux and high jewelry pieces by Chopard.

Despite opting for a staple known for its formal and solemn nature, Keng revamped the traditional tux and served modern elegance on the red carpet. The formula? A double-breasted jacket with contrasting satin peak lapels and styled with baggy tailored pants by French brand Ami. Departing from classic shirting, the actor wore a scarf collar shirt, which brought a touch of novelty to the often restrictive black-tie dress code.

Everything is in the details

With jewelry—and particularly Chopard—deeply intertwined with the Cannes Film Festival’s activity, it was only fitting for Keng to further modernize his outfit with a lavish brooch by Chopard. The chosen piece was the “Spilla Bruco,” a rare caterpillar-shaped brooch from the brand’s Animal World high jewelry collection (2010). Keng complemented the look with two Chopard signatures: the Ice Cube bangle and the coveted L.U.C Quattro watch.

The famous inward-curved C-shaped bangs hairstyle, a staple among Asian A-listers and hearthrobs, as well as nude eyeshadow and hydrated lips, topped off Keng’s chic ensemble.

A perfect outfit for a perfect Cannes debut.
