The Colombian singer ushers in a new era and nods to reggaeton’s golden days with her newest single.
Fresh off the success of her documentary, Karol G: Tomorrow was Beautiful, La Bichota welcomes a new era with her latest music release. Titled “LATINA FOREVA,” the song anticipates summertime with a bold homage to Latinidad.

On May 22, Grammy-award-winning star Karol G released her first official single of 2025—despite reaching the top of the charts, her single “Milagros” was only an accompanying track of her documentary.
Combining 2000s-infused beats with catchy pop and reggaeton sounds, “LATINA FOREVA” is a charismatic track that unapologetically speaks of Latinas’ confidence. Created in collaboration with Venezuelan producer Hector Mazzarri and Finnish producer Misha, the song opens up with a nod to Don Omar’s reggaeton anthem “Dile” and quickly morphs into a party-ready, high-energy track.
In the song, the singer asserts Latinas’ popularity, chanting, “Now everyone wants a Colombian girl/ A Puerto Rican girl, a Venezuelan girl/ A Dominican girl who moves it real good.” This segment is reminiscent of Nina Sky’s iconic single, “Oye Mi Canto.”
Reinforcing the Latina power concept, “LATINA FOREVA” wraps up with a sample of Alexa Demie’s character in Euphoria, cheekily asking, “Why does everybody ask me if I’m Latina? Isn’t it obvious?”
The Beginning of a New Era
The accompanying video, directed by Pedro Artola, features Karol and an all-Latino cast, decked up in summer outfits as they play with snowmobiles in the snowy Mammoth Lakes. Renowned Flamenco guitarist Jose Del Tomate makes a cameo in the video clip
“LATINA FOREVA” marks a fresh beginning for Karol G, who wrapped up her Mañana Será Bonito era with the release of a Netflix documentary on May 8. The film reached No.1 in 19 countries, including the United States, Ecuador, Colombia and Spain. It also comes on the heels of a successful career chapter for the Colombian star, who amassed milestones such as becoming the first Latina ever to headline a stadium tour globally.
