The front row looks keep getting better and better.
Total looks have been the style du jour at the ongoing edition of Paris Fashion Week. While many have taken monochrome to the extreme and others have embraced house codes through one-hued outfits, South Korean beau and Fashion Week regular Kai had a demure approach to the trend at the Lacoste Fall/Winter 2026 show.
Returning to the brand’s front row for a second season in a row, Kai, K-pop star, member of the railblazing group EXO and one of the first Korean celebrities to dabble in the fashion world back in the 2010s, went for a full light blue ensemble. The look somehow felt like a continuation of the singer’s previous PFW appearance, where he also hopped aboard monochromatic style with a tailored set.
This season, making his debut as a Lacoste brand ambassador, Kai channeled the same energy with a different tone. The singer wore a sports jacket and coordinated wide-legged trousers. Not a newcomer to the fashion scene, Kai knew exactly how to add a subtle dose of drama to his final appearance: by wearing a matching long coat over the shoulders.
Visual keypoints were courtesy of the coat’s contrasting lapels and a trifecta of brooches that encapsulated the Lacoste universe: the brand’s signature crocodile, a tennis racket and a tennis player. Kai topped off the look with a pair of metallic silver sneakers and a curtain bangs hairstyle, perfectly suited for the front row.
The Lacoste FW26 show marked Kai’s return to Paris, following a first appearance at the brand’s Spring/Summer 2026 runway. For the occasion, the K-pop star also opted for ton-sur-ton style, albeit in a more striking color (Lacoste’s green).
Monochrome style reigns supreme this season
Monochrome fashion has been a popular theme this season on and off the runways. The Lacoste new collection itself was a parade of total looks across the color spectrum, from classic neutral earthy shades and gray to red, green, and scarce pops of pink.
During Fashion Month and across global capitals, one-color looks have also been favorites on the runways and among celebrities. While brands like Calvin Klein, Burberry, Max Mara and Gucci have sent total looks down the runways, international celebrities like Milk Pansa, Beck Armstrong annd Hande Erçel have joined the trend with head-to-toe ensembles.
Always up-to-date with what in, Kai is, of course, putting his own spin on this style and owning the look.
