And it’s already sold out
Pop star Jungkook welcomes a new chapter in his ongoing creative collaboration with US clothing retailer Calvin Klein. After cementing his influence as a global ambassador and brand icon, the singer now brings his first clothing collaboration to the stores. In the limited-edition capsule collection, Jungkook reintroduces brand essentials with elements of his personal style.
Merging biker aesthetics, Calvin Klein staples and Jungkook’s personal style
Titled “Jung Kook for Calvin Klein,” the collection features 20 styles designed for women and for men. Infused with biker aesthetics, the items range from modernized ‘90s trucker jackets and baggy denim to graphic tees and underwear. The lineup thrives on a combination of brand staples reworked with Jungkook’s logo and details such as distressed denim accents and Le Mans stripes, a signature in the racing and automotive world.
Jungkook’s signature is also present in construction details like hidden embroideries, custom-made graphics and denim washes, as well as interior woven tags. (In fact, the designs featured on cotton pieces are inspired by Jungkook’s tattoos.)

The accompanying campaign, lensed and directed by Alasdair McLellan, further pushes the biker aesthetic, portraying Jungkook as a rebellious rider and echoing his personal penchant for motorcycles.
“Partnering with Calvin Klein over the past few years has given me the opportunity to express myself through the brand’s iconic style, and it’s been exciting to work with Calvin Klein in this more personal, creative way,” shared the artist in a press statement. “As my first fashion collaboration, I wanted to fully immerse myself in the process, leveraging Calvin Klein’s design expertise to leave my mark on every piece. This capsule feels authentic to my style and my love of riding and is a meaningful way to shape something lasting through design and storytelling.”
Jungkook’s Selling Power
The collaboration, first teased via Pinterest, was officially announced on May 15. Within the first 48 hours, the announcement alone generated $3.4 million in Media Impact Value (MIV), according to data company Launchmetrics. The top-performing placement was a short video posted to Calvin Klein’s Instagram account. Although the reel only features Jungkook’s hand introducing the collaboration’s logo, the post garnered $908K in MIV.

“The launch marks another step forward in the relationship between the brand and its global ambassador, following a series of highly successful campaigns,” highlighted Launchmetrics.
Per Launchmetrics data, the first Jungkook x Calvin Klein campaign in 2023 generated $13.4 million in MIV within 48 hours. Meanwhile, his return to the public arena at the Calvin Klein Spring Summer 2026 show in New York, following his mandatory military service discharge, prompted media coverage and echo mentions worth $30.4 million in MIV, although the singer himself didn’t author any personal post on social media.
The next campaign, released in October 2025, drove $20.9 million in MIV in the first 48 hours, “a nearly 56% increase over his already record-breaking previous campaign,” reports Launchmetrics.
Meanwhile, his latest team-up with the brand, “Jung Kook for Calvin Klein,” immediately sold out upon its release on May 19.

Jungkook: a fashion and cultural icon
Jungkook, regarded as pop royalty for both his involvement in the record-breaking sensation BTS and his solo career, is no stranger to the world of style. At the height of BTS’s breakthrough in the US, the singer lent his image, alongside his bandmates, to the French luxury giant Louis Vuitton. He later launched his solo career, building a personal catalog that comprises affordable apparel, premium beauty and luxury. In addition to Calvin Klein, Jungkook also serves as an ambassador for Chanel Beauty and Hublot.
Similar to Calvin Klein, Jungkook’s relationship with Hublot has resulted in big Media Impact Value figures. Launched in February with a big celebration in Seoul, the association with the watchmaker drove a total MIV of $32.3 million within one week. “For comparison, Jungkook’s announcement garnered 141% more MIV in one week than the total MIV obtained by Hublot in a regular month in 2025 ($13.4M),” Launchmetrics tells No Manners.

Now, Jungkook is taking his talent and celebrity power to the next level with a clothing collaboration that not only highlights the brand universe but also his personal story and the market’s moment. This creative team-up comes at a time when denim is experiencing a peak in global markets, particularly in the Asia Pacific region.
Moreover, major clothing retailers and high street brands are reinventing their marketing strategy to retain relevance in the fast-shifting market. Denim brands like Gap and Guess, for example, have turned to big celebrity endorsements in order to push their global growth, while brands like Zara are shifting gears and elevating their reputation with the appointment of creative directors, policy changes and designer and celebrity collaborations. Similar to Calvin Klein, the Spanish retailer recently tapped global icon Bad Bunny for a team-up that hits stores on May 21, but whose announcement has already generated $3.5M in MIV in the first 48 hours.
