The front row at British designer Jonathan Anderson’s first Dior show was a spectacle of its own.

Jonathan Anderson made a widely discussed debut at the helm of the French Maison Dior. On June 27, the designer gathered the fashion industry’s luminaries at L’Hôtel National des Invalides in Paris for the unveiling of his first-ever collection as Dior’s creative director. While the runway received praise aplenty and sparked passionate commentary, the front row was nothing short of extraordinary. 

In attendance were pop culture forces hailing from different parts of the world, including Asia Pacific trendsetters Apo, Mile, TXT and Mingyu and American music royalty Rihanna, A$AP Rocky and Sabrina Carpenter. 

The Stellar Guest List 

The lineup of high-profile celebrities attending Anderson’s Dior debut featured the world’s reigning style queen Rihanna and her partner A$AP Rocky. The singers perfected couple fashion with looks in predominantly pastel colors and printed accents. Rihanna, a perennial Dior front row guest and brand ambassador, opted for gray pants and a set of layered tops including a white shirt, mint waistcoat and floral raincoat with a contrasting pattern lining. In sync, A$AP Rocky donned denim pants, a light blue button-down shirt and a striped tie. 

Sabrina Carpenter and Robert Pattinson also graced the VIP section. Carpenter stunned in a two-piece set featuring Dior’s iconic bar jacket and midi A-line shirt—a silhouette known as the New Look, introduced by Christian Dior post World War II. The “Manchild” singer paired her outfit with a middle part hairstyle adorned with a barrette. 

Pattinson put a retro and normcore-leaning spin on front row attire, dressed in khaki pants, a tucked-in shirt and a suede bomber jacket. The accent? a tie that could’ve as well belonged to our parents’ wardrobes in the ‘90s — we say this as a compliment.

APAC Celebs Brought the Star Power

Despite welcoming a new chapter in the brand’s history, Dior continued to cultivate its strong ties to the Asia Pacific, inviting some of the region’s most important voices. Dior ambassadors such as Apo, Mile, TXT and Mingyu sat front and center, donning brand designs from the new Anderson era.  

Mingyu, member of the musical sensation Seventeen, opted for a laid-back combination of bermudas and a popover shirt, perfectly suitable for Paris’ hot weather. Members of the K-pop group Tomorrow x Together, Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu and Taehyun — Huening Kai was notably absent from the event — coordinated dark trousers with light blue, pink and tan separates.

Thai Power

On the other hand, Thai power actor duo Apo and Mile stood out with their sportswear-infused looks. Apo wore a three-piece outfit that combined a rugby shirt, matching sweatpants and a raincoat—he, of course, completed the look with a cap, which made a splash at the photocall.

Meanwhile, Mile stepped out in brown trousers, a pink shirt and a gray sweatshirt with the brand’s logo. The actor accessorized the ensemble with a tie, sneakers and a backpack. Honorable mention to his tied-up hairstyle.  

Star-studded Affair

Other personalities and fashion industry insiders invited to support Anderson’s first Dior show were designers Donatella Versace and Simon Porte Jacquemus, as well as actors Daniel Craig, Joe Alwin and Manu Rios. Keep scrolling to see the event’s most notable attendees.
