From local red carpets to the international spotlight — Thai actress Freen makes her highly anticipated Met Gala debut.
Since her first international appearances, Thai star Freen Sarocha has experienced a vertiginous rise to fame. Known for roles in television series such as Gap: The Series and The Loyal Pin, the actress first emerged as an entertainment force.
Over the last couple of years, however, Freen has made her way into the world of high fashion with stunning red carpet and front row appearances. Becoming a recurrent face at Fashion Week, film festivals and any event worth talking about, Freen is now recognized as a style dynamo.
The actress has notably forged close ties with the Italian fashion brand Valentino. After a stunning Paris Fashion Week debut, sitting front and center at Alessandro Michele’s inaugural show for Valentino, Freen was officially announced as a brand ambassador earlier this year.
Valentino Chérie
Following the appointment, Freen has continuously made headlines with the brand, attending fashion shows and driving social media conversations with her public appearances. In March, for example, one of Freen’s Instagram posts became the top Media Impact Value-earning placement at Paris Fashion Week, garnering $1.8 million. The publication showed Freen en route to Paris, dressed in new Valentino staples, including a cherry-printed bag.
Met Gala Slay
Considering her fashion sensibilities and star power, Freen was bound to deliver an unforgettable look on the Met Gala 2025 red carpet. And she didn’t miss the mark.

The actress reimagined the night’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” with the retro flair Alessandro Michele’s creations are recognized for. Her look featured a see-through bodice that tapped into the naked dressing trend, as well as a floor-lenght skirt with flounces and a high slit. Referencing the “Tailored for you” dress code, Freen’s look also included a tailored jacket with fur trimmings and a bow adornment.
Lace gloves, tights, art-deco style shoes and a clutch complemented Freen’s Met Gala ensemble, nodding to eras past and Alessandro Michele’s design DNA.
History in the Making
Freen’s appearance at the event is a major milestone. Invited to the super exclusive fundraiser, the star not only joins the fashion elite but also makes history as the first Thai female entertainer to attend. The list of previous Thai attendants is reduced and only includes fellow actor Bright Vachirawit and fashion editor Nichapat Suphap. Way to go, Freen!
