Felix Lee Has the Most Stylish Summer Sunglasses Collection

K-pop star Felix Lee is having a Bayonetta boy summer with Gentle Monster’s most stylish frames.

Eyewear connoisseurs probably recognize the South Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster for its large, flooded lenses and sharp silhouettes. Or perhaps, they remember it for the handful of collaborations with celebrities and cultural powerhouses.

This summer, one of South Korea’s fashion it boys has crafted the perfect eyewear selection with Gentle Monster staples. Korean-Australian tastemaker Felix, member of Stray Kids, is showcasing his loyalty to the brand as he travels the world, donning his personal favorites from the brand.

Spoiler alert: his Bayonetta frames are the perfect addition to any summer wardrobe.

Crystal Clear

Before crossing the Atlantic for the European leg of Stray Kids’ <dominATE> World Tour, Felix was spotted wearing a pair of crystal clear glasses at Stray Kids’ second concert date in New York. More specifically, he sported the Orora 02 glasses from the Gentle Monster Jewelry Collection.

The drop was inspired by the Magical Girl trope, leaning on sparkly details, charms and, as the name suggests, jewelry. Felix’s pick contrasted sharply with his 90s-inspired streetwear. The chrome frame and crystal details of his sunglasses, however, matched perfectly with his dewy skin makeup and shimmery eyeshadow.

Geeky Chic, But Make It Streetwear

Dark, mysterious frames are commonplace within streetwear. However, Felix isn’t afraid of putting a novel spin on the classics. Stepping out in New York City and Frankfurt, the singer added a geeky-chic twist to his off-duty looks with the Orbit 01 sunglasses.

The pair belonged to Gentle Monster’s Pocket Collection. Featuring opticals and sunglasses, the launch focused on foldable hinges and skinny frames, with 21 designs that showcased the brand’s commitment to consistently one-upping itself with innovative ideas and high-profile partnerships — the collection included items created in collaboration with the doll brand Bratz.

The Orbit 01 glasses boast a five-point foldable frame for maximum portability, making them the perfect travel accessory. But most notably, the model features a Bayonetta frame with an upswept temple that taps right into the Y2K style renaissance dominating fashion in the 2020s.

For a day out in the Big Apple, Felix paired his opticals with a Stussy graphic tee and a leather snapback. The clear lenses and bold Bayonetta frames elevated the casual, boy-next-door outfit. It’s the approachable fashion statements, like these, that have catapulted the Sydney-native to fashion fame.

Once in Europe, Felix sported the Orbit 01 again. This time, the artist opted for an Adidas leather jacket, baby blue Adidas Gazelle Sneakers, and Chrome Hearts sweat shorts. The bold, slightly retro-leaning outfit showed these glasses can lean both casual and elevated.

‘90s Skinny Frames

In Frankfurt, Felix donned the Lolang T1 in tortoise acetate and pink lenses. The Bayonetta eyewear shape was reminiscent of the ‘90s and early aughts, bestowing Felix’s look with retro appeal. Plus, the oval shape, varying colorways and rose-tinted lenses made this design the perfect onstage add-on.

To no one’s surprise, Felix’s eyewear selection proves he has a gift for turning any item into a trend-worthy fashion statement. His effortless, everyday OOTDs made Bayonetta eyewear seem approachable, stylish and totally worth adding to our summer lookbook.

But this isn’t the first time Felix has reinvented and set trends this summer. The singer has continuously made headlines for his take on footwear, scarf belts and even color trends. He has also dominated fashion conversations with his partnership with Louis Vuitton. In fact, the singer recently dropped a collaboration with the French luxury brand and UNICEF, aimed at fundraising for vulnerable children around the world. That’s what we call a certified fashion boy.
