Felix Gives Denim On Denim a ‘90s Spin on his Way to Paris Fashion Week

Denim on denim, but make it ‘90s boy band-approved.

In recent years, Australian singer Felix Lee has emerged not only as one of the most stylish stars in the biz, but also as one who moves the ball and sets the trends. (You have probably heard of the Felix effect. If you haven’t, to put in simple terms, what Felix touches, Felix outsells.)

Just as often as he spearheads trends, the singer reinvents them and occasionally brings some back from the past. That’s exactly what the star did on his way to Paris to attend the city’s ongoing Fashion Week; he brought back the Canadian tuxedo, ‘90s way and with a subtle boyband flair.

In case you need a quick update…

Paris Fashion Week is currently unfolding.  Celebrities, industry professionals and the most influential figures in fashion are touching down in the City of Lights. Felix Lee, K-pop superstar, member of music sensation Stray Kids and Louis Vuitton brand ambassador, is no exception. The star left Seoul for Paris on March 8 and other than his departure itself, he made headlines for his airport look.

Felix’s denim-on-denim outfit tapped into the nostalgia for eras past, combining a slightly baggy silhouette with details straight from the ‘90s. In the look, cargo denim pants (a must-have back in the day) with subtly contrasting panels were paired with a coordinated jacket and a tank top. Thanks to the drop shoulder construction of the jacket and inserts of nylon fabric, the ensemble gave off 1990s star energy.

Paired with his platinum blonde hair styled in a modern iteration of the ‘90s heartthrob hair (long curtain bangs), Felix’s appearance delivered an instant throwback to iconic ‘90s stars such as Devon Sawa, ‘NSYNC or The Backstreet Boys.

Paying attention to the utmost detail, Felix finished off his airpost look with dark sunglasses a Louis Vuitton logo jewelry set and a pair of the unfairly dubbed dad sneakers—that, despite their name, are the cool-person shoe in the 2020s. Though Felix wore head-to-toe Louis Vuitton, what put a visible LV twist was the monogrammed Noe bag, fittingly adorned with the cutest bag charms.

Lingling Kwong Updated the Canadian Tuxedo at Paris Fashion Week

Though Felix’s latest look has an undeniable ‘90s vibe, the star is no stranger to rocking denim on denim. The “Deep End” singer has rocked the Canadian tuxedo on his day-to-day, on the cover of magazines and even on stage.

His latest look is just another addition to Felix’s fashionable wardrobe. It helps, of course, that Felix is reinventing the denim-on-denim look just at a time when runways are elevating denim, celebrities are embracing total looks and the denim industry gains cultural momentum.
