An iconic wardrobe for an iconic star.
BTS closed the European leg of their “Arirang” world tour with a historic double date at Stade de France in Paris. Drawing a record-breaking crowd, the spectacle was more than a mere music concert. There was community, fandom appreciation, performance mastery and of course, a slew of fashion statements, courtesy of landmark French fashion brands.
Dior, which boasts an official association with Jimin, one-seventh of the award-winning group, was among the brands creating custom looks for the occasion.
The French Maison created four looks for their global brand ambassador. The wardrobe spanned Dior Ready-to-Wear, runway looks reimagined for the stage and ensembles that merged house codes with Jimin’s style sensibilities.
Royal Attire Reimagined
Stepping on stage at the iconic Stade de France, the home ground for Les Bleus (France’s national football team), Jimin wore a monochrome look that tapped into the royal and historic garment influences Jonathan Anderson has made his signature at the helm of Dior.

The ensemble consisted of a notch-lapel jacket and matching vest with brandebourg embroidery. Paired with leather pants, the outfit was reminiscent of the garments Jimin sported at the Dior Homme Spring/Summer 2027 show, a runway that reinterpreted menswear across various eras.
Adding a stage quality to the look, Jimin also wore a silk scarf with lurex detailing and a leather belt with the Dior Medaillon, a house signature with neoclassical inspiration that Anderson has reclaimed since his creative director appointment.

From the Runway to the Stage
Proving his status as one of the brand’s most notable VIPs, Jimin also had first dibs on styles from Dior’s latest collection. The ensemble in question was an iteration of the SS27 runway’s Look 6. The styling featured an off-white wool knit, a white cotton tank top and blue denim pants. Accessories included a leather belt, silver jewelry and a pair of beige leather lace-up boots, all by Dior, of course.
Not every stage look needs to be theatrical and grand, so this ensemble leaned on the most casual side, without neglecting ease of movement, craftsmanship and house codes. The key point was the detailing: fringes and purposely distressed elements.

Dior’s Take on Sheer Dressing
In another standout fashion moment, Jimin made a case for the sheer/naked dressing trend that populated the menswear runways back in June. The outfit change consisted of a sheer top that nodded to the chain and Medievalcore revival of past years—but reworked to fit the stage’s demands. The knitted silver lurex top found its complement in a pair of washed cotton pants and a khaki sleeveless jacket with plaid lining.

Casual but Never Too Casual
Dior rounded out Jimin’s stage wardrobe with a minimalist but representative Ready-to-Wear look that mixed denim and a red hoodie with the new Dior logo embroidered front and center. The accompanying tee (not credited to Dior) featured a subtle nod to Jimin’s home country: a ton-sur-ton print of the South Korean flag.

Since his appointment as a Dior brand ambassador, Jimin has become a go-to face for the French Maison to display its latest creation. The singer has been frequently spotted out and about, dressed in Dior staples and has even taken the brand to major stages like award ceremonies and front rows. It isn’t any wonder, then, that Jimin and Dior joined efforts to bring their association to the next level.
After all, collaborating on stage costuming has become one of the most effective ways for brands to strengthen celebrity associations, display new collections and tap into cultural moments. And while onstage fashion isn’t a new concept, in recent years, these fashion-for-tour collaborations have served to create moments that live beyond the concert.
Jimin and BTS are a prime example of how artists can leverage fashion as a tool for self-expression, artistry and storytelling, as well as a form of collaboration with brands and designers. Their most recent couture-to-stage slays? Their Arirang World Tour and their legendary performance at the first-ever World Cup Final Halftime Show.
