Bang Chan and Fendi Give a New Meaning to “Roman Empire” — See Full Lyrics

Roman empire this, Roman empire that. This is our actual Roman Empire.

What’s next in the relationship between fashion brands and celebrities? Australian K-pop star Bang Chan and Fendi might have the answer. Deepening the link between music and fashion, the Italian luxury brand and Stray Kids’ frontman debuted a new single. Titled “Roman Empire,” this project highlights the creative ecosystem converging in the fashion industry.

Bang Chan Reinvents “Roman Empire”

Brands and celebrity partners continue to redefine the extent of cross-industry collaborations.  Building upon their ties to musicians and previous musical projects, Italian luxury giant Fendi supported Bang Chan’s new music release.

“Written, composed, and produced by Bang Chan, renowned as one of the most influential global artists, the song symbolizes Fendi’s timeless excellence and creativity,” shared the brand in a press statement. The song debuted on November 3 with a music video filmed at Fendi’s headquarters in Rome, Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana.

Showcasing Bang Chan’s status as one of Fendi’s most prominent brand ambassadors—he was appointed in the role at the beginning of the year, “Roman Empire” nods to Fendi’s heritage with mentions of signature items such as the Peekaboo bag and the Maison’s iconic FF logo.

“This song is quintessential Fendi. Comparing love to the eternity and grandeur of the Roman Empire, I reinterpreted Rome’s rich tradition with a modern sensibility,” said Bang Chan of the song.“The track blends smooth, emotional vocals with dreamy synths, layered over a powerful kick-driven rhythm, creating an R&B/Miami Bass sound.”

Fendi keeps growing its music catalog and pop culture relevance

Fendi and Bang Chan’s collaboration is the latest in a series of fashion and entertainment crossovers reinventing the brand ambassador title in this day and era. This year, the fashion industry has witnessed a shift in the celebrity ambassador role, from model and VIP guest at major events to muse and creative collaborator.

Offering a new outlet for creative partnerships, brands are reshaping how they approach other industries, including music and film. Gucci, for example, tapped into a film format for the debut of creative director Demna Gvasalia. The film premiere unfolded amid Milan Fashion Week, recreating a red carpet event where VIP and brand ambassadors served both as models and front row guests. Brands and stars are also joining forces to promote music. Such is the case of Colombian singer Karol G, who recently unveiled a capsule collection co-created by herself and Diesel creative director Glenn Martens. The launch celebrates Karol’s latest album, Tropicoqueta, further blurring the lines between music marketing and fashion.

Now, Bang Chan enriches Fendi’s catalog of music collaborations, fueling the trend of fashion projects at the intersection of different creative industries.

However, this isn’t an entirely new move for the Italian brand. Supporting stars from the Asian Pacific for years, Fendi has been at the forefront of music collaborations. ”From “FENDIMAN” with Jackson Wang (2018) to “FENDI” with Song Yuqi (2025) and now “Roman Empire” with Bang Chan, the brand has consistently cultivated cultural relevance through dynamic projects with young, global talent,” shared Fendi.

It isn’t any wonder Bang Chan is the latest star to bring his music into the Fendi universe

Bang Chan, best known as the leader of the global music sensation Stray Kids, is one of the most influential celebrities in the world of fashion. Prior to his Fendi ambassadorship, the singer had already made a grand Met Gala debut and represented international fashion brands alongside his bandmates. Off stage, Bang Chan nurtured a signature streetwear-leaning style that placed him at the center of various trends and buzzy fashion moments.

Meanwhile, the singer has emerged as a social media force at Fashion Week through his association with Fendi. This year alone, the star topped the ranking of APAC celebrities per average Media Impact Value (MIV) at Milan Fashion Week SS25. In September, the singer continued his winning streak, authoring Fendi’s top MIV-earning placement, an Instagram post that racked up $1.4 million in MIV following 48 hours after the end of Milan Fashion Week. Bang Chan also made it to the Top 4 celebrity voices at the event, generating $3.7 million in MIV through his owned channels

The singer’s new collaboration with Fendi cements his status as a fashion power player and valuable collaborator for the Italian brand. In fact, Fendi will hold a private event at Palazzo Fendi Seoul in Seoul, South Korea, on November 4th. The exclusive party is set to celebrate the music release with a performance by the singer himself.

Fans and fashion enthusiasts can check out the full music release on Fendi’s official channels.

(Hundred years ain’t enough when I’m here with you

You appeared out of nowhere like Peekaboo

I’ve been waiting so long

Can you hear me

My Roman Empire

You’re my Roman Empire

Ciao bella, you shine brighter than the stars, so stellar

That leather, I swear it looks better when we are together

I’ll fight for ya, you make me wanna be your best gladiator yeah

My Roman Empire, you’re my Roman Empire

Girl you’re looking so fine (you, you, you)

Yeah you’re one of a kind (oh my)

Girl you’re looking so fine

I got that matte black pure-bred stallion

Let me take you for a ride in Roma

Hundred years ain’t enough when I’m here with you

You appeared out of nowhere like Peekaboo

Got me feeling so shocked when I peek at you

My Roman Empire, you’re my Roman Empire

I’m just way too obsessed with the way that you dance my baby

Just let that body move

Girl the way that you’re dressed got my head in a mess

My Roman Empire

A hundred days, a hundred weeks,

A hundred months, hundred years

I’ll love you like the Eternal City

You’re the F to my F, yes

We’ll never age, “Forever F”

It’s only you and I tonight

I’ll take you to a place that’s out of sight

Just hold on to my hands, I’ll be your knight

I got that matte black pure-bred stallion

Let me take you for a ride in Roma

Hundred years ain’t enough when I’m here with you

You appeared out of nowhere like Peekaboo

Got me feeling so shocked when I peek at you

My Roman Empire, you’re my Roman Empire

I’m just way too obsessed with the way that you dance my baby

Just let that body move

Girl the way that you’re dressed got my head in a mess

My Roman Empire, you’re my Roman Empire

You’re my Roman Empire
