Prada Reunites Asia’s Hottest for its ION Orchard Store Re-opening

Prada celebrated the extension of its shop at ION Orchard with a list of Asian powerhouses including Sana, Win Metawin and Heart Evangelista.

Italian luxury brand Prada brought together Asia’s hottest stars to celebrate the re-opening of its ION Orchard store. Esteemed house ambassadors and friends such as Win Metawin, Sana and Heart Evangelista touched down in Singapore for the grand event on February 18.

Prada at ION Orchard

After an extension and redesign, Prada re-opened the doors of its space at ION Orchard. The store now spans more than 1,200 square meters, reorganized to showcase menswear and womenswear across two floors.

Inspired by Prada’s flagship store in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the first floor houses men’s clothing, accessories and footwear. Sleek checkered floors, mint walls and 3D floral motifs find the perfect balance between contemporary simplicity and Prada’s artistic soul. On the second floor, womenswear and the Prada Eternal Gold fine jewelry collection take centre stage.

To upgrade the shopping experience, the store features a Made-to-Measure area for bespoke requests and services. But perhaps the most notable addition to the second floor is the brand new Prada Caffè — Prada’s first space of this kind in Southeast Asia.

In [Prada] Style

To commemorate the inauguration of this new space, Prada gathered Asian stars such as Heart Evangelista, Eric Chou, Win Metawin, Sana and Toey Jarinporn — all fixtures at Prada events worldwide. The group of A-listers stepped out in Singapore dressed to the nines.

Filipina style icon Heart Evangelista, who recently underwent a cherry hair transformation, made a case for oversized silhouettes. The star wore a striped sweater and fringe-skirt combination, accessorized with a white handbag. Brand ambassadors Toey and Sana, on the other hand, put a twist on office chic. Toey wore a tailored pants and blouse ensemble, while Sana added a feminine spin to a skirt and chiffon blouse with a hair bow.

As for the gentlemen, Taiwanese actor Eric Chou sported a white overall under a slim-fit navy sweater. Thai powerhouse Win Metawin, always helming the latest trends, donned an increasingly popular combination in menswear: dove gray and plum purple. The actor crafted a look with tailored gray trousers, a white hoodie, a plum-purple leather coat and matching sneakers.

Prada’s Fashion Prowess

Bringing together some of Asia’s most notable faces, Prada once again asserted its influence in Asia. The event was closely monitored on social media and as per reports on Singaporean media, hundreds of people gathered outside the venue.

Over the last couple of years, the Italian fashion house has made strides toward reinforcing its presence in the region. Despite the luxury slowdown, Prada has kept momentum in Asia Pacific, showing a +12% increase in retail sales in 2024 (data from September 2024). Store openings, events and partnerships with high-profile celebrities have kept interest in the brand alive.

Earlier this year, Lyst’s quarterly index crowned Prada as the third “hottest fashion brand” in the world. The fashion platform highlighted projects such as the Axiom Extravehicular Mobility Unit spacesuit and events like The Sound of Prada in Seoul, attended by brand ambassadors Win Metawin, Jaehyun, Enhypen, Kentaro Sakaguchi and more.

Prada’s latest event further highlights the brand’s ties to the Asia Pacific and expansion efforts across the region.
