Thankfully, our arbiters of good style are still all about boxy fits.
It’s just the first day of Men’s Paris Fashion Week, but the stars are already going so hard that the race for the best celebrity look at the event is tight. One of the top contenders among the starry crowd, however, is Japanese singer Sho Hirano. The Louis Vuitton ambassador touched down in the City of Lights for the unveiling of Pharrell Williams’ new menswear collection, staged at Cité Universitaire.
While much could be said about this look—we didn’t overlook the fine-tuned accessorizing, the internet boyfriend hair or the bag, which could’ve easily belonged to any footballer collection—the outfit’s silhouette stood out after witnessing the Milanese runways’ push for streamlined, slim, and even skinny fits.
Yes, if you haven’t checked out social media for a hot minute, you might’ve missed the runway reports selecting the skinny fit as one of the trends to watch out for in 2027. While we do have thoughts, the rise of the skinny silhouette is undeniable and feels imminent. Demna’s Gucci, Philipp Plein and most prominently, Prada are making a case for the return of blood flow-restrictive skinny jeans.
Thankfully, a good portion of the celebrity trendsetting pack is not on board with this comeback—at least, not yet.
Japanese star Sho Hirano, for instance, is still loyal to the wide-legged pant, a good indicator that we’re still in an era of relaxed and baggy fits, as the star is often ahead of the trend curve.
Attending the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2027 show, the Number_i singer was pictured wearing wide-legged tailored trousers. He matched the pair with a simple white tee and a monogram motif blouson jacket with rolled-up sleeves. The boxy look was complemented with silver jewelry: a pendant, matching earrings, a bracelet and a statement ring. Hirano also wore a timepiece with gold accents and carried an LV Kepall Bag for a dash of contrast.
Proving to always be at the vanguard of style, the singer also sported this season’s hottest hairstyle: the wolf cut: a layered crop that mixes elements from the classic shag and the mullet, offering an alternative for those who prefer unblended hair layers with texture and volume.

The return of slimmer fits and tighter clothing is here and potentially will thrive in upcoming seasons. We’ve witnessed menswear brands like Dior, Gucci and Prada shifting towards slim cuts since the beginning of the year, which unfortunately feels in vein with the current wave of GLP-1-driven weight loss and body positivity cutbacks in fashion. It might be too early to forecast if this trend will pick up and if people will be on board with it, but for now, Sho Hirano’s outfit proves that a well-executed baggy or relaxed-fit look will always be miles above uncomfortable (and sometimes triggering) ultra-tight fashion.
