Look no further than Thai actor and Dior ambassador Lingling Kwong. Out in Paris to attend Jonathan Anderson’s most recent collection unveiling as Dior’s creative director, Lingling put a smart twist on the Canadian tuxedo, offering the best style hack for transitional outfits.
New season, new wardrobe
It seems like yesterday that we saw Lingling Kwong conquer early autumn days in a floral dress at the Dior SS25 show in October. A new year has come and the fashion circuit has brought the Secret of Us actor back to Paris. The star touched down in the French capital a couple of days prior to the Dior FW26 show, but delivered moodboard-woorthy looks from the moment she departed from Bangkok.
While she leaned into streetwear and comfortable staples for her airport fit, Lingling switched things up for the Dior front row. And though she clearly kept committed to comfort and ease, her look completely rewired our approach to blue denim paired with black separates and the often misunderstood Canadian tuxedo.
In case you have missed it, there has been an eternal debate about combining colors like brown and black or black and navy and, by extension, dark blue denim and black. Forget all that, LingLing officially settled the debate. In the process, she also put a spin on the denim-on-denim look.

For her first front row appearance as a Dior ambassador, Lingling wore a reworked version of a look originally presented in the Dior Pre-Fall 2026 collection. The base was a pair of medium-wash, wide-legged jeans that hit floor level, creating an elongated silhouette. Up top, the outfit consisted of a denim shirt with a frilled collar that echoed the historical influences of Jonathan Anderson’s first womenswear collection for Dior.
She layered the denim-coordinated ensemble with a velvet jacket, entirely reworking the classic Canadian tuxedo formula and proving that denim and black go perfectly fine together. As the last days of winter unfold and spring fast approaches, this styling tip also offers an alternative to layered looks that are versatile and can adapt to different temperatures.
Topping off Lingling’s look was Jonathan Anderson’s newest addition to the Dior bag lineup: the Cigale top-handle bag in black leather. Hair-wise, Lingling wore trendy wispy long bangs, proving to be updated with the latest trends in fashion and beauty.
